A moody, creepy crown of botany

I love making flower crowns. I usually make them to complement Ren Faire outfits, but for those, I keep things understated and minimal. I wanted this one to be way over the top, messy, and dramatic, and it was so much fun to piece together! I used a lot of florals and supplies I have had on hand for years but never had a project to use them with - so it felt good to finally get some use out of these dark and moody florals.

Mediums:

• Various fake foliage

• Assorted moss

• Floral wire

• Acrylic paint

• Styrofoam skulls

13 Days 13 Shorts 2026: By Any Mediums Necessary

My goal for this year's 13 Days 13 Shorts is not to choose one medium and stick to it for all prompts as I usually do. Instead I will follow where the spark of creating takes me with each prompt, utilizing various mediums as they inspire me and invoke any sense of joy. I'm dubbing this year - 13 Days 13 Shorts: By Any Mediums Necessary.
