I don't think there's a lot I can add to what everyone else has said about this festival. But I'll put my heartfelt two cents out there anyway. I stumbled across this page five years ago and have been so glad I found it ever since. This has really become a creative anchor for me every year. It gives me a reason to make things during a season when it would be really easy to not have the time. Even better, it gives me a reason to try new things and continue learning and growing. Are there things I'm not happy with? Prompts I didn't put as much effort into, or that didn't turn out how I wanted them to? Of course! Every time! But the imperfection is part of the point for me.

I don't know any of you in my real life, but for 13 days every October I count myself incredibly lucky to get to see all of your art and photographs, read all of your poetry and stories, and be reminded of all of the joyfully imperfect creativity human beings are capable of. I left social media for my mental health years ago, so other than my immediate family and occasional freelance work, this is the only place I share my art. You are all so unfailingly encouraging and kind. Thank you for making this such a welcoming place to share my silly creative endeavors.
