POEM - SPIDERWEBS

For 13 Days 13 Shorts this year, I will be posting a short poem inspired by each of the themes.

by Omar Najam

You worked so hard on it

Ever so carefully

Building a net

To catch your prey

And all through the night

You wait so patiently

Until the morning sun rises

And drew drops cling

Like little gems on your string

And the jewelry becomes steam

And our day begins

And when I break one of your webs

I just feel so terrible
