POEM - GHOSTS

For 13 Days 13 Shorts this year, I will be posting a short poem inspired by each of the themes.

Ghosts

by Omar Najam

If I were your ghost I would haunt you

I would move things all about your home

I would creak all the floorboards

And rattle all the headboards

And you'd sense me everywhere you'd roam

If I were your ghost you would see me

Just out of the corner of your eye

Glimpses in reflections

A shadow in your collections

You'd sense me every time I pass by

If I were your ghost I would haunt your home

Until your last dying days

And then you'd be free

And be back with me

And we'd haunt together, always
