Entry 5 by Mikaela Miyamoto
Dear Dreadful Diary,
Today I went on a shopping spree!! Edward and I have a fun date night planned soon and so I decided to spruce up my wardrobe a bit. I went back to that same mall we met at, isn’t that romantic? I hit up all of the hip stores I saw lots of young people at when I first arrived! I will say the mall was quite dead today. There was almost nobody else around, just the workers and me. Although it did make my trip feel a bit special, almost like it was my own private shopping mall!! I went to five different stores and procured a few new pieces for my wardrobe. I got a lovely little yellow dress with short sleeves and a frilly hem! Although it’s just a bit too loose I figured I could bring it in a bit myself. I did look for someone to help me check out and maybe find a smaller size but there didn’t seem to be anyone nearby. Perhaps they had gone on their break time? Luckily there was a fancy device where you could pay for your items all on your own! The next store I went to I found a beautiful blouse and a short polka dotted pink skirt. A girlish and cute outfit. The worker at this store didn’t say much but was quite attentive following me around the store! They were so quick as well, I could’ve sworn they were on the other side of the room but when I turned around there they were, right behind me just silently staring with these piercing eyes!! They didn’t seem able to ring up my clothes for me either but it seems most stores have that fancy device so I just paid for them that way. The next two stores I went to were kind of a bust. One was just full of this smog and so dark! It seemed like some sort of “goth” store perhaps and that’s just not my style. I barely made it through the door before turning around to leave. And after that I entered a store that seemed normal on the outside but inside it was just bare with such long, winding corridors that seemed almost endless! I’m mot sure how long I was in there for but I’m lucky I didn’t get lost. I saw many workers shuffling around inside but they seemed quite occupied with each other and didn’t pay me much mind. A few were moving so gracefully it seemed as though they were floating. Once I finally found my way out I came across the cutest boutique with so many cute accessories and little trinkets! I grabbed a small golden toad for Edward and some earrings and a necklace for myself. I even found a small “E” charm I was able to string onto the chain of the necklace! Once again, I didn’t see any workers but I heard some odd groaning coming from the back room. I knocked to see if they were alright but no one answered. On my way out I decided to hit up the little pretzel place I met Edward at. But once I arrived it seemed boarded up! As if it’d been closed down for years. They move quite quick when shutting down a location it seems. All is well though, I found such cute new pieces for my collection and I can’t wait to wear them out with Edward!! Until next time!
Love,
Luna the Lively
